Andrew Banks and Royce Yudkoff co-founded Abry in 1989. Prior to forming Abry, Andrew and Royce were affiliated with Bain & Company, an international management consulting firm, where they shared responsibility for Bain’s media practice. Andrew is a graduate of Harvard Law School, a Rhodes Scholar with a Master’s degree from Oxford University, and an honors graduate of the University of Florida.

Andrew Banks and Royce Yudkoff co-founded Abry in 1989. Royce graduated as a Baker Scholar from Harvard Business School and is an honors graduate of Dartmouth College.

Royce is currently a Professor of Management Practice at Harvard Business School and co-author of Think Big, Buy Small: Own Your Own Company (Harvard Business Review Press). He is a director of numerous companies.

Peggy Koenig

Peggy Koenig

Chair

Peggy Koenig joined Abry in 1993. Peggy is the chair of Abry. She has originated, supervised and sold numerous companies in Abry’s targeted sectors. Areas of focus have included cable television, marketing services, logistics and business services. Prior to joining Abry, Peggy was a partner and member of the board of directors of Sillerman Communications Management Corporation, a merchant bank making investments principally in the radio industry. She also has extensive media financing experience in industries including feature film production, cable television, and magazine publishing. Peggy received her MBA from the Wharton Business School and an undergraduate degree from Cornell University where she currently is a member of the Board of Trustees as well as a Board of Overseers of Cornell Tech. Peggy is attending Harvard’s Advanced Leadership program as a Fellow in 2018.

C. J. Brucato

C. J. Brucato

Managing Partner & Co-CEO

C. J. Brucato joined Abry in 1996. He has originated, supervised and sold numerous companies in Abry’s targeted sectors. Areas of focus have included cyber security, data centers, communications and business services. Prior to joining Abry, C. J. was a member of the Media and Communications Group at Prudential Securities, Inc. He is a graduate of Princeton University.

Jay Grossman

Jay Grossman

Managing Partner & Co-CEO

Jay Grossman joined Abry in 1996. Jay is the co-CEO of Abry. He has originated, supervised and sold numerous companies in Abry’s targeted sectors. Areas of focus have included cable television, communications, data centers and business services. Prior to joining Abry Jay was Managing Director and co-head of the Media and Entertainment Group at Prudential Securities, Inc. Previously, he was a member of the corporate finance department of Kidder, Peabody & Company, specializing primarily in media and entertainment companies. Jay received an MBA from Harvard Business School and is an honors graduate of Dickinson College.

Azra Kanji

Azra Kanji

Azra Kanji joined Abry in March of 2003. She has originated, supervised and sold numerous companies. Areas of focus have included business services, cable, marketing services, communications and logistics. Prior to joining Abry, Azra was a member of the media and communications group at Goldman Sachs where she served in the Communications, Media, and Entertainment group. Azra is a graduate of Duke University.

Rob MacInnis

Rob MacInnis

Partner

Rob MacInnis joined Abry in 1998. He is responsible for working with portfolio companies to improve operations and support management teams. He has worked with numerous Abry portfolio companies in healthcare IT, insurance services, business services and education. Prior to joining Abry, Rob was associated with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was a senior manager in the Merger and Acquisition Group. Rob received an MBA summa cum laude from Boston University and is a summa cum laude graduate of Merrimack College.

T.J. Rose

T.J. Rose joined Abry in 2011. He has diligenced, supervised, financed and sold numerous companies in Abry’s targeted sectors. T.J.’s areas of focus include healthcare IT, business services and information services. Prior to joining Abry, T.J. was a member of the private equity team at the Audax Group. Previously, T.J. was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company and an Associate at Goldman Sachs Capital Partners. T.J. received an MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated with highest honors from Florida A&M University.

Nicholas Scola

Nick joined Abry in 2018.  He has originated, supervised and sold numerous investments in Abry’s targeted sectors.  Nick’s primary areas of focus include healthcare services, healthcare IT and business services.  Prior to joining Abry, Nick was a senior investment professional at H.I.G. Capital, where he led investments in a number of healthcare and technology-enabled business services companies.  Prior to H.I.G., Nick worked at Capital Resource Partners where he led numerous growth-equity and mezzanine investments across a wide range of industry sectors.  Before that he worked at Broadview International, a technology-focused investment bank.  Nick is a graduate of Tufts University.

Brent Stone

Brent Stone joined Abry in 2002. He has originated, supervised and sold numerous companies in Abry’s targeted sectors. Areas of focus have included insurance services, healthcare IT, education, and entertainment.  Prior to joining Abry, Brent worked for several investment banks, including Credit Suisse First Boston, Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette and Chase Securities. Brent is a graduate of Cornell University and currently serves on the Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Advisory Council and the Cornell University Council.
